Kochi high court said is criticized badly yesterday on the (CRZ) rules. this big criticism is coming from the May of month that a tower of many apartments newly constructed under the coastal sea zone area after violations of strict rules of union government. that developed areas are to be classified as CRZ-ii as per 2011 notification but the CZMP prepared by the state government and Kerala coastal zone management authority (KCZMA) has failed to taken into consideration. the union government had issued two CRZ notifications in 2018 for introducing and fixing a hazardous line, in addition to low and high tide area.
The coastal zone management plan prepared in accordance with the 2011 notification was finalized only in 2019. it creates a lot of issues to stakeholders. central government has made in January 2019 coastal regulation zone notification. State government had informed the court that it is taking to revise the CZMP with CRZ rules. The court pointed out that areas that do not fall under CRZ, CRZ-ii would have to be classified as CRZ-III based on population density. The case has been posted for further hearing on July 3 to identifying areas that would fall under CRZ-II, CRZ-III, crz111 a or crz111b of state of Kerala.
