In a scam by Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) officials where some of its employees and private firms while purchasing land in 2014 across seven villages of Mathura have committed forgery and cheating. The compensation paid to landowners during the purchase was found out to be much higher than the rate which is defined by the authority.
In the recent development of this scam where Greater Noida police have decided to seize properties of the three accused in the scam if they further fails to present before the Anti-Corruption court in Meerut by May 15th.
The three main accused in scam namely Jugesh, Nirdosh Chaudhary and Gaurav Soni have been charged under Section 420, 467, 468 and 471 which deals with forgery and cheating. The accused are allegedly involved in Rs 126 Crore scam. Out of 30 accused, 7 have been already arrested by Noida police in relation to the case which includes Ex-Ceo of YEIDA PC Gupta.
