The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday provisionally attached movable and immovable property worth of Rs. 7.3 crore amassed by Brajesh Thakur who is the prime accused in the Muzaffarpur shelter home case. The case is presently investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation.
Several of the properties amassed from ill-gotten money earned by Thakur were on name of his NGO named Seva Sankalp Ewan Vikash Samiti.
It was the same NGO which was running the childern home were at least 34 to 44 minor girls were raped over a period of time.
Of the immovable properties, there were altogether 24 land plots in Muzaffarpur and on 12 of them, there were residential constructions. One of the constructions include Hotel RM Palace on his son's name.
They said the most of the immovable properties in Muzaffarpur were located in town area.
