A Nalasopara teenager was arrested on Wednesday along with his father and cousin for allegedly murdering and disposing of the body of his mother last month, after a financial dispute.
The body of Kusum Prajapati who was 38 years old lady found near railway station on January 21, was identified based on a chit with a phone number with her.
Police called the number, which belonged to a man in Koparkhairne, Navi Mumbai, and he said she stayed at Jatashankar chawl, Santosh Bhuvan, Nalasopara East.
Kusum, who worked at an andheri firm as an office help, had telephoned him for a job.
Police said that as Kusum was pestering her husband for the money, he abandoned her, married for the third time and took their children along.
Call data records helped police zero in on the suspects, who have been booked for murder and remanded to police custody by a Vasai court.
