Yamuna Expressway Authority Would Hand Over 15000 Plots To Owners That Had Been The Subject Matter Of Legal Hassles Since 2009.

The Yamuna Expressway Authority will soon begin to handover the possession to the owners of over 15000 residential spaces and plots. These were allotted to them in 2009. Possession of 7330 plots in sector 18 and 8019 plots in sector 20 under Yamuna Expressway Authority area would commence from the start of October and continue until March 2019. It should be noted here that a total of 23532 plots were allotted to the people under the Residential Plot Scheme 1 in 2009 and legal hassles have been cleared for over 15000 plots. The process involved a lot of legal intrusion.

A senior official said that due to property disputes and court cases there were a number of obstacles that needed to be addressed first. Work is underway on the basic infrastructure including roads sewer and drainage system apart from demarcation that would be carried out in the residential plots. The plot sizes vary from 200 sqm to 4000 sqm. The authorities will soon start to hand over the possession of 1800 plots that were allotted under the scheme 2. These plots were originally meant to handed over by 2019. Now, since there has been a clearance of legal disputes by the court many of them would be handed over by the end of this year. Around 667 plots would be ready in that regard.
