National Consumer DisputeRedressal Commission has asked Real Estate Company Unitech Limited to return 40 lakhs of rupees to a home buyer because the company was unable to prepare the apartment on time and deliver it to the buyer. The Commission told the company y that buyer Rishi Kapoor should return 42, 58, 475 rupees within six weeks at 12% annual interest rate, in lieu of delay of seven years in giving the apartment.
The Chairman said that the entire sum must be refunded to the buyer. The buyer was asked to pay 10,000 rupees as the cost of the case. He had booked an apartment in Greater Noida's Unitech Horizon. According to information received in WhatsApp, the sage had depositors RS 4,11,000 in May 2006 and then RS 5,47,475 in July 2006. Also, 33 lakhs were taken from a private bank.
