The personal life and assets of self claimed saint, Gurmeet Ram Rahim have been under a microscope by government agencies ever since the exposé of his horrendous sexual deviancies. The latest probe in his and his daughter and co conspirator, Charanpreet Kaur is initatiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Suspiciously large volumes of assets in the form of foreign and domestic real estate has the fingerprints of the father daughter duo all over them, and the ED is pouncing on the chance to dismantle the empire of the Dera Sacha Sauda head, and it's about time.
Appropriating the detection skills of Canada based Egmont Group of financial intelligence, the ED is carefully scrutinizing the involvement of the suspects in various properties that are, on the surface, owned by foreign nationals, but the honorary ownership is bestowed upon either the father or the daughter. A similar synopsis in India, where Ram Rahim possesses ownership of huge areas of agricultural land which has been donated to him in the form of gift deeds by hundreds of farmers. This pecularity nudged the ED to involve the Income Tax department, as the aforementioned property falls under the pretense of benami property, which is, property bought by illegal capital.
The ED is adamant on finding concrete proof of illegal activities in Ram Rahim’s Dera. The personal transaction records of the Dera have been submitted by the chairperson and are being thoroughly analyzed for discrepancies.
With such a iron fisted investigation being conducted by the ED, the truth is bound to reveal itself in the near future.
