On Friday morning, a part of the basement wall of under-construction building in Bahlolpur village in sector 63, Noida killing a four year old boy and a daily wager, while injuring two other daily wagers.
The incident occurred at around 10 am where nearly 15 daily wagers were working. It was raining at that time. The wall of the basement collapsed were the wagers were working. One of the daily wager’s children was also playing. He along with the other three were trapped under the debris. They were rescued by locals who took the little boy to a private hospital in sector 62 where he was declared dead on arrival. The others included his parents Kosa and Prakash who were taken to SJM hospital, Chhajarsi in sector 63.
Kosa suffered a pelvic fracture, but later was declared out of danger. Prakash suffered multiple fractures in his lower back and pelvic areas. Third victim Hemraj had a critical head injury and died on his way from SJM hospital to AIIMS hospital.
An Fir was registered against the unidentified owner of the house and the contractor of the building under section 288(negligence), 338(endangering life) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC.
