Assotech Group has been booked by the fire department of the city for violating the fire norms in their upcoming residential projects. The fire department of city has approached chief judicial magistrate court against Assotech Group for allegedly flouting fire safety norms in two of their residential projects in city. The complaint was filed for violations in Windsor Court, in sector 78 and Celeste Tower, in sector 44.
“The builder has not taken a no-objection certificate (NOC) from us and therefore this is an unauthorized occupancy. It is not legal for people to live the building,” said Kuldeep Kumar, a fire safety officer (FSO), sector 2 station, Noida.“There were no alarms, no fire detector, no extinguisher. The pumps installed do not function. It can lead to catastrophic accident,” he added.
“Before approaching the court we had sent a notice to the builders. We do not approach the court directly. Along with the notice we have sent multiple reminders. This has been going since past 6 months, no action has been taken so far from their end. The court will now send summon to builder, hearing is scheduled on August 31,” said Kumar.
“We have applied for NOC, we have also adhered to every rules recommended by the National Building Code. We are simply waiting for our NOC. And we have no knowledge of any such notice,” said Sanjeev Srivastava, managing director, Assotech Group.
