On Thursday, a man was arrested by sector 49 police Noida for allegedly developing plots on government land and selling it almost 40 people in Noida.
Thirty year old Sonu had been wanted since 2015. Two cases were lodged against him in 2015 in involving 20 hectares of land by pretending to be a property dealer. There was a bounty on him for Rs25,000.
“Two cases were lodged against him in 2015. He was wanted in another case 2018. Sonu, a resident of Loni, Ghaziabad was arrested for selling land owned by an individual or government land to other individuals. The accused would prepare forged documents and would defraud clients, based off on a top in Sorkha,” superintendent of police (city) Arun Kumar Singh said.
Police also recovered a country made pistol from his possession. Cases has been registered against him for cheating, defrauding, forgery and conspiracy under Indian Penal Code. Cases have also been registered against him under several provisions of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act 1984 and Arms Act.
