Hyderabad Waqf board officials on Sunday ordered to raze illegal buildings and encroachment of properties on land of Majid-e-Khurd in Karwan in order to save the Waqf land.
The Waqf board officials, after a recent inspection passed an order directing to demolish all the illegal construction on the area attached to the Waqf land.
“This step was taken to safeguard and secure Masjid-e-Khurd at Karwan, a registered Waqf property. We are trying to reclaim all the encroached Waqf properties,” Shahnawaz Qasim, Telangana State Waqf Board CEO and Director, Minority Welfare Board said.
The Waqf board has also written to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) requesting their assistance to take down the illegal constructions as they pose a threat to such land.
