1600 Complaints Reported Regarding Unauthorized Constructions on DDA App On Day 1

On day 1 of the launch of DDA 311, mobile application to report unauthorized constructions and encroachment 1600 complaints were registered.This mobile application was developed by Delhi Development Authority and went live on Monday.

A complainant can also upload pictures and can report any unlawful construction. People can also register their complaints on DDA’s website.This initiative is part of comprehensive action plan to curb illegal constructions and encroachment on public land.

DDA has also setup a ‘STF department’ to deal and to keep a tab on the progress of each complaint. “The nodal officer of the concerned agency will be notified and he will then send a compliance report to DDA,” said an official.

However the first day of the launch of app saw glitches, leading to confusions as few nodal officer named in the app who had been transferred already. DDA vice chairman Udai Pratap Singh, who is also the chairman of STF , said nominations are assigned to position and not to any individuals.
