A committee headed by Arun Vir Singh,Yeida CEO has formulated new guidelines for residential (abadi) land shifting within Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida). “The absence of theses guildelines have often resulted in irregularities and corruption,” he said.
The draft of guidelines for residential (abadi) land shifting within Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) areas has been prepared and sent to the state government in Lucknow for a final approval.
The above three authorities have their own rules for settling farmer’s land sifting cases. But these rules are ambiguous and lack clarity and accuracy.
The guidelines will help shift abadi land in 39 villages in Jewar where an international airport is being constructed. It will also curb the malpractices of nepotism or favoritism and will bring the transparency in their workings. These guidelines lays down the provisions defining when land shifting can and cannot be done .
Due to no present policy for shifting of abadi land in such areas, it leads o the confusion and disputes between farmers and authorities who use their discretion in moving the land.
