Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy’s family accused of Rs 3.17 crore property tax evasion. Six family members of Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy including his wife and brother HD Revanna, who also is a Minister in the present government are alleged to have evaded property tax for 10 years from 2008-09 and 2018-19 amounting to Rs 3.17 crore.
All the tax defaults are related to properties owned in RMZ Centennial in Whitefield by Kumaraswamy’s family.These allegations came into light just a day ahead of Karantaka budget day. Kumaraswamy has denied all the allegations whereas his brother HD Revanna has blamed it on Congress as some conspiracy.
The names of all six members emerged in a list of BBMP defaulters that appeared in media on Thursday. “the family has no arrears,” the civic body commissioner Manjunath Prasad said.
