MLA Vikramaditya Singh, who is the son of former Himachal Pradesh chief minister, Virbhadra Singh, has been booked in a royal property dispute case, along with a few others. In his police complaint, Rajkumar Rajeshwar Singh has alleged that a portion of Padam Palace in Rampur, Himachal Pradesh, which was under his possession was forcibly captured by Virbhadra Singh and others on May 9. A case of house trespass and mischief causing damage has been registered against them at Rampur police station on the complaint of another family member.
Former engineer-in-chief S P Negi, Youth Congress leader Jasbir Jassi and others have also been named by Rajeshwar in the complaint and he claims that they all forcibly captured a part of the property that belonged to him. Royal family member, Rajeshwar Singh also alleged that his belongings were thrown out after breaking the locks. Though property caretaker had lodged a complaint following the incident, he withdrew it later and hence, Rajeshwar Singh himself lodged a complaint with police.
A case has been registered by the police under Section 448 (punishment for house-trespass), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC.
