The land and property software which is registered at the Administrative complex in Sector 78 in Mohali crashed on Thursday, giving major trouble to the administrative employees as well as the applicants. Other than Mohali, it also affected the applicants in areas of Zirakpur as well as Kharar. There were serpentine queues for property registration at the Sub Registrar’s office, where the applicants had to wait for hours to get their land and property registered . Local residents said that they were not informed by the concerned authorities that the software had crashed and that they did not have any clue about how long they would have to wait in the queues. Most of the residents were working professionals who could not afford to waste a whole day trying to get their work done.
However, the system was restored by the evening said the officials at Mohali administrative complex. According to the Times of India , Mohali DC, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra said, "There was a snag in the software which stopped working and we have managed to clear the applications manually. The software has been repaired and the work was resumed normally.”
