The Haryana Housing Board following the aim and objective of ‘housing for all’ and to provide affordable housing to the needy formulated a new policy to ease the norms allowing transfer of houses and commercial property by paying a requisite fees and charges.
Highlights of the New Policy
- No eligibility condition has been prescribed for the transferee, except he/she should be major i.e. completed 18 years of age at the time of transfer.
- Transfer of tenancy rights not to be restricted in blood relations and can be transferred to any person.
- Transfers of dwelling units based on the General Power of Attorney (GPA), where the attorney is legal, valid and enforceable, have been made permissible, provided that the attorney holder would have to give an affidavit stating that allottee is alive and the GPA has not been cancelled.
- Allottees will also get the conveyance deed executed in respect of the transfers made.
- Transfers can be allowed more than once in cases where HPTA is enforceable and full payment is not made subject to payment of requisite fees and submission of documents and completion of other formalities.
